Pure nature on a mountain covered in pine trees

The atmosphere on the Graukogel in Bad Gastein is one-of-a-kind. Here, you can enjoy a unique panorama of Bad Gastein and slice down pistes covered in pure natural snow. With its long, difficult runs, the Graukogel is a true challenge even for top skiers. Most of the runs are through forested areas, meaning they are protected from the wind and easy to navigate, even in bad visibility.  For ambitious skiers and nature lovers, the Graukogel is just what they have been looking for. That said, because of its unique atmosphere, this mountain is also popular with non-skiers. You regularly encounter ski tourers and snowshoers on this natural mountain.

We invite you to learn more about the weekly snowshoe Pine Hikes on the Graukogel as well as evening ski tours to the Graukogelhütte.

Please note that there is no direct lift connection from here to the other ski areas in Gastein.
